Film and television are collaborative efforts that take many people to bring to life, but the magic always begins with the script, the written story that serves as the blueprint for the entire cinematic piece. Using the written word in only limited form, screenwriters evoke visual spectacle and breathe worlds to life. In this workshop, students will learn the basic technical and structural rules of screenwriting, as well as lessons in genre before writing then revising their own short film scripts. Students may choose to work collaboratively or individually.
