Tax-Aide volunteers continue to provide tax assistance to local residents, particularly taxpayers Counselors are trained and IRS-certified each year to make sure they know about and understand the latest changes and additions to the tax code. They also complete course modules on standards of conduct and how to keep your sensitive documents and secure.
Appointments can be scheduled for the Peekskill Neighborhood Center (in the same building as the Field Library) on Fridays February 2nd through April 12th. Appointments also at the John C. Hart Memorial Library in Shrub Oak on Mondays.
And if you’re comfortable with computers and have the right equipment, you can ask about our remote arrangement, where you connect with counselors electronically from home at your convenience. These services are both free of charge.
