Lady luck seems to be spending time in the rivertowns recently.
The New York Lottery announced that a third prize-winning ticket in the Jan. 3 Powerball drawing was sold at 577 Warburton Ave. in Hastings-on-Hudson.
That ticket was worth $50,000. The winning numbers were 18, 21, 40, 53 and 60. The Powerball number was 23.
To win the third prize, you must match four numbers and the Powerball number. The odds of winning the third prize are 1 in 913,129.
The winning numbers for the Powerball game are drawn from a field of one to 69. The red Powerball is drawn from a separate field of one to 26. The Powerball drawing is televised every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m.
On Dec. 25, an $8,200 top prize winning ticket in the Take 5 Midday drawing was sold at Tappan Zee Stationery at 350 South Broadway in Tarrytown.
