One lucky person received a gift from the New York Lottery on Christmas Day in Tarrytown.
Lottery officials announced that a top prize winning ticket in the Dec. 25 Take 5 Midday drawing was sold at Tappan Zee Stationery at 350 South Broadway.
The winning ticket paid $8,240.50.
The numbers drawn were 5, 7, 9, 22 and 32.
Take 5 numbers are drawn from a field of one through 39. The drawing is televised twice daily at 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. A Lottery draw game prize of any amount may be claimed up to one year from the date of the drawing.
For the 2024-2025 fiscal year, the New York Lottery contributed $3.6 billion to benefit public schools in New York State.
