Scarsdale Library Exhibit Highlights Westchester’s Black History
“Not Forgotten: Scarsdale’s Black History” explores the experiences and events that have shaped Black history in Scarsdale, NY through documents, photographs and other historical artifacts.

Abbott House was pleased to contribute to this important exhibit for Black History Month with photos, audio recordings, and documents from Dr. King’s visit to Westchester in 1965, when he spoke at our benefit dinner at Schrafft’s in Eastchester. The invocation he gave was titled, “The Dignity of Family Life” and can be heard here.

You can view the full presentation of the exhibit on facebook here.
