Three employees in the Tarrytown School District tested positive this week for COVID-19, forcing the cancellation of in-person instruction at Morse Elementary School and the Sleepy Hollow Middle School/High School campus.
Students are participating in remote learning Wednesday and Thursday in the district
Superintendent of Schools Christopher Borsari informed district families and staff that on October 12 two employees at Morse who tested positive were currently in quarantine. The next day, the district was notified that a worker at the middle school also had tested positive, resulting in “out of an abundance of caution” the early dismissal of high school and middle school students. All afternoon activities were cancelled.
Borsari noted the district’s COVID Coordinator, Scott Dorn, was working with the Westchester County Department of Health, which oversees contract tracing.
