The incomparable resume of Grammy-winning bassist Buster Williams ranks among the best ever in jazz: accompanying Gene Ammons and Sonny Stitt when he was 17; backing singing legends Betty Carter, Sarah Vaughan and Nancy Wilson in the ‘60s; anchoring Herbie Hancock‘s Mwandishi sextet into the ‘70s; and co-founding Sphere and much more.

His trademark big, earthy sound leads this all-star Something More Quartet, with Lenny White on drums, Brandon McCune on piano & Bruce Williams on saxophones.

Clifford Jordan and Barry Harris often performed together at both early Jazz Forum NYC lofts, usually joined by bassist Walter Booker and drummer Vernel Fournier. Mitchell Seidel captured Clifford & Barry during their first encounter in ‘79 at 50 Cooper Square.
