Brubeck Brothers Quartet

Friday & Saturday • June 9 & 10 @ 7 & 9:30 PM
The name “Brubeck” has meant jazz excellence, innovation and creativity for seven decades. With the Brubeck Brothers Quartet, drummer Dan and bassist, trombonist and Grammy-nominated composer Chris – who began playing together in 1966 – continue the legacy established by their legendary father Dave in this dynamic quartet.

The Quartet’s style is rooted in “straight-ahead” jazz, but as Brubecks, they retain an inherent ability to explore odd time signatures while integrating funk, blues and world music.

Brazilian drummer Martinelli’s’ 2018 debut album Crossing Paths featured trumpet great Claudio Roditi, pianist Ohno and bassist McLaurine. Following Roditi’s passing in 2020, the others decided to continue as The Trilateral Project in his honor.
