RiverArts Presents Multi-Village All-Day and Evening Music Tour Event on June 6

The first annual RiverArts Music Tour will take place on Saturday, June 6 throughout Irvington, Ardsley, Dobbs Ferry, and Hastings-on-Hudson beginning at 12 p.m.  This inaugural event is modeled after the RiverArts Artists Studio Tour (now in its 22nd year) which showcases works each spring by local visual artists in the river towns community.

More than 150 musicians will participate in 80 performances at 24 different venues throughout the day for the Music Tour.  Genres represented will include folk, rock, classical, jazz, bluegrass and world music. Each artist or group will perform 40-minute sets.

Special programs throughout the day will include audio engineering mentorship, demo recording, and music technology “mini-lesson” workshops.

The Music Tour will culminate with a closing celebration at Purpl (52 Main Street in Hastings) featuring Live Band Karaoke at 8 pm.  (Visit Purpl’s website to see the list of songs and to request favorites: http://www.purpl.org/live-band-karaoke-party-1)  A post-tour concert will follow at The Prime (19 Main Street, Hastings) until midnight.
