Sustainable Westchester has been organizing community meetings helping residents save money with energy savings. And giving residents free energy kits.
Lauren Brois, Director of Building Decarbonization and Lauren Kroell, Program manager of Building Decarbonization recently appeared on Solving Problems cable TV show (link below).
Late last year the Fairview Empowerment Group sponsored a session for residents at the Theodore Young Community Center that I attended. Those who attended received a FREE do it yourself energy kit. The kit includes 2 LED light bulbs, Weather stripping, door sweeps, power strips, window insulation material; foam tape for windows/doors, foam outlet and switch gaskets. They also discussed HEAP, community solar and gridRewards.
The program was so successful that I invited Sustainable Westchester to hold another forum which is tentatively scheduled for March 24th at Greenburgh Town Hall (same night.
If you would like to be invited to the free forum and receive a FREE ENERGY SAVINGS KIT please e mail me at pfeiner@greenburgh. Once we finalize the date and time of the meeting I’ll be sure to send you an invite. If your civic association is interested in sponsoring a seminar on energy savings tips for your neighbors please also advise.
