This month: “Looking at Bible Stories through an Evolving Feminist Lens” with Doris Unger

We grew up with Bible stories which helped shape our Jewish perspective on the world. Our view of these stories changes as we grow older and develop new lenses. Join us for a discussion about interpreting Bible stories through early and newer Feminist perspectives.

Doris Unger always enjoyed looking into the deeper meaning of Bible stories. Prayer and religious services did not resonate with her because she felt her voice as a women, girl, person, was not heard or acknowledged. Writing her own short Bible Stories helped her express some of her feelings, which she would like to share with Women’s Circle.
