Romeo Milio Lynch Syndrome Foundation
March 16 @ 7:00 pm - 11:00 pm
Tarrytown, NY – March 16 th 2019, 7pm. The 7th Annual Romeo Milio Lynch
Syndrome Foundation Gala. Doubletree Hilton Hotel. We are accepting over 300 people.
We would love for you to assist us to help us spread awareness about Lynch syndrome.
Marie Milio, from Armonk (originally from Yonkers) started the foundation in 2012 after
losing her 36-year old husband Romeo to Lynch syndrome related cancers. Lynch
syndrome is a hereditary predisposition to various types of cancers including colorectal,
endometrial, ovarian, stomach, small bowel, hepatobiliary and urinary tract cancers.
The mission of The Romeo Milio Lynch Syndrome Foundation is to raise awareness
about Lynch syndrome; to fund Lynch syndrome-related cancer research studies, and to
pay for genetic testing of individuals who cannot afford to pay for it, but are at a high
risk of having this genetic disorder. It is estimated that approximately 750,000 Americans
have this hereditary condition, but only 5% of those people are aware of it. Memorial Sloan-
Kettering Cancer Center produced the following video highlighting our accomplishments:
