Rivertowns Rotary Club Seeks Help with “Fruits” of Its Labors
The Rivertowns Rotary Club (RRC) is seeking help from all Ardsley, Dobbs Ferry, Hastings-on-Hudson and Irvington residents.
For the past 50 years, the service organization has sold oranges and grapefruits annually during the holiday season. Funds raised by these sales have helped the RRC to provide annual scholarships to college-bound high school seniors in the four villages and coordinate many projects which benefit individuals, families and non-profit agencies locally and throughout the world.
For information about this year’s fruit sale and to purchase a case of oranges and/or grapefruits, please visit rivertownsrotary.org. The deadline for ordering fruit is November 20. Each case costs $35.
The RRC was incorporated on March 25, 1925 and is part of an international organization which has 1.4 million members. Rotary members are professionals, business owners and civic leaders who live and uphold the motto, “Service Above Self” which is shared by Rotarians throughout the world.
