Fresh from winning Best Musical at the world’s largest festival of solo talent, LILY THE TIGER – A Superhero for Our Time stars Dana McCoy as a woman who suddenly finds herself in a life-changing situation.
“It’s a story of strife, struggle, and finding the strength we need to go on,” said noted New York theater, music and documentary producer Janet Murphy Robinson.
The poignant and funny rock musical features 10 original songs – including Sleeping in America, which previously took Best Song at the festival. McCoy is backed on stage by a live band.
Dana McCoy is an award-winning singer-songwriter, film composer, playwright, director and international performer. Her songs have topped the Billboard charts. Her vocals are Grammy-nominated. And her film work has won Cannes, LA Independent Film Channel, and Boston Independent Film awards. Her previous rock musicals include coming-of-another-age Prom Queens and the Wall Street farce Cube Rats.
