Conservative Simchat Torah Celebration
Shabbat, Shemini Atzeret (literally “the eighth day”) is a separate-yet connected-holy day devoted to the spiritual aspects of the festival of Sukkot, and Simchat Torah (Rejoicing of the Torah) celebrates the conclusion of one annual cycle and the beginning of another cycle of readings from the Torah. These services will include Yizkor (prayers of remembrance).
