During her four years of service, Elizabeth has been a beloved member of the Dobbs Ferry community, building and strengthening connections with residents of all ages. Under her leadership, the Library increased services, supported new programming, including the launch of ComicCon and Cultural Explorers, and also found ways to improve the building itself through grants and creative revenue sources, reducing the burden on taxpayers.
The Board of the Dobbs Ferry Library is especially appreciative for Elizabeth’s leadership as she led the Library through Covid. Elizabeth successfully found creative ways to expand Library services, making them accessible and safe for all. This included working with the Friends of the Dobbs Ferry Library to purchase wifi hotspots, a critical lifeline for Dobbs Ferry families, shifting programs online, investing in electronic resources and making sure residents had access to books through curbside pickup. The Board of the Dobbs Ferry Library is incredibly grateful to Elizabeth for the energy, vision, and heart that she dedicated to our Library and our Village. We wish her the best in her future endeavors.
