Irvington Bids Farewell to Chris DePaoli

• Bookmarks: 67

April 14, 2023

Dear Friends,
Tomorrow, April 15th will be the last day of full time employment for Park Foremen, Chris DePaoli.
Chris has worked for the village for 43 years and will be retiring the end of the day tomorrow.
When you have experienced the beauty of any of our parks, it is because of Chris’s hard work and dedication. When you were able to play a softball, game on a night where most communities canceled for wet fields it was because of Chris. He is responsible for far too many things to mention.
He has trained dozens of summer workers. He always gave himself the tougher job. He has given me thousands of weather reports so we could be prepared for anything.
Chris has served two terms as Fire Chief and is still an active member of the IFD.
I have worked side by side with Chris for over 37 of his years and I will always be grateful for his friendship and work ethic. Irvington will miss him! I will miss him.
Now it is time for him to spend more time with his beautiful wife Maureen and their two amazing daughters Lara and Natasha. I am hoping they will still share him with me from time to time.
Thank You, Chris!
Joe Archino
Superintendent
