Last year, RiverArts debuted a new multi-village event: The RiverArts Music Tour. The unprecedented, all-day event was enthusiastically received by both the wide diversity of Rivertowns musicians and the listening public– encompassing more than 150 musicians, 24 venues, and 3,000 audience members.
Back by popular demand on June 4th (and expanded to include 90 performances), 40-minute sets will take place on the hour from noon until 7 p.m. (with a few additional late night slots) throughout the villages of Tarrytown, Irvington, Hastings-on-Hudson and Dobbs Ferry — in living rooms, cafes, restaurants, places of worship, flatbed trucks, on porches and back lawns — culminating with a special evening gathering at 8 p.m. at Purpl in Hastings, featuring Live Band Karaoke.
All genres of music are represented including folk, rock, classical, jazz, country, world, alternative, cabaret, indie; and the entire day is free to the public (although donations are encouraged). For more information and the complete schedule, visit: http://musictour.riverarts.org/category/events/
