After two consecutive seasons with much success, the Sleepy Hollow High School varsity boys’ basketball team is hoping to continue its winning ways with many returning players and some new faces, under the leadership of Coach Christopher Starace.
The returning seniors this year are Wendell Brand, Mike Morales, Harry Bogusz, Gabe McGuire, and Steven Grady. This year’s returning juniors are Jack Starkey, Andrew Laub, Ethan Wilens, and Pearse O’Donohue.
The Horsemen are looking forward to their annual holiday tournament, beginning on December 4. The holiday tournament consists of a set of games over the weekend played against various schools in the league. For the past two years, Sleepy Hollow has won the championship game in the yearly tournament.
Brand, Starkey and Bogusz will handle the guard duties this year, while O’Donohue, Grady, Tallman and McGuire will bang the boards and try to control the paint.
