Carol Ann Corveddu, a lifelong Tarrytown resident, died April 17. She was 76.
Born in Tarrytown on September 23, 1938, she graduated from Washington Irving High School and went on to study at Grasslands School of Nursing. She worked as a maternity nurse at Phelps Memorial Hospital. She was a cornerstone of the facility, having worked there from 1957 to 2015. She was a lifetime member of the First Baptist Church in Tarrytown where she served as a Deaconess. She also ran the Senior Citizen lunch program in the church. She was an active member of the Tarrytown Seniors and a former member of the Catholic War Veteran’s Auxiliary. She had also done missionary work for the church in Argentina.
A Celebration of her life will be held at The First Baptist Church on Saturday, May 9 at a time to be announced.
Her greatest joy was to spend time with family and friends and she will be missed by all who knew her.
